About...
Born in the south of England in 1988, Chris was raised on his mum and uncles cassettes and records, showing his first interests in music sat in front of the Freddie Mercury tribute concert aged just 4 years old, which was a real musical education.
Already obsessed with Cozy Powell and Roger Taylor, it was getting his first drum kit aged 9 when he began playing along his family's vast library of music that Chris really started to develop his own unique style and sound. Soaking in and consuming the spirit of the music that he was listening to.
Chris' first paid session was aged 12, doing a short spell of theatre shows as part of the pit band for a production of Bugsy Malone and by 16 was playing the local pub circuit. Touring started at age 18 with his first professional band Shy of the Depth before joining UK metal outfit Malefice, signed to Metal Blade records. This began extensive UK and European touring.
In 2014, and wanting to get back to his rock roots, Chris decided to work primarily as a session drummer, following in the footsteps of his hero Cozy Powell and has since appeared on Planet Rock, Scuzz TV, Kerrang!, Sky One, Radio 1, BBC 4 and you can even hear his drums while watching UEFA Champions league football!
Since 2023, Chris has been the touring drummer for bass playing legend Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Thin Lizzy, SatchVai), touring extensively all over the world.
